To describe where a person or animal is located, we use the verb いぞす.

The particle ãĢ is used to indicate the specific location or point of existence.

Note that imasu is only for living things (people and animals). For inanimate objects, a different verb is used.

Tanaka-san wa soko ni imasu.
= 'Mr. Tanaka is there.'
